Does anyone else think it's crazy to go to Alaska and ride rails instead of big mountains? Maybe I'm not getting something here.

Not bad for hitting a couple spots in AK. This isn't a season's worth of shots for a part, but a few days hitting rails so lay off of Kooley. He's got the skills and has proved it over and over again. Wood for Trees, It's not always the conditions for the big mtn stuff. Most of it is shot late in the season, and even then you're just as likely to sit around doing nothing for a week before getting a single day in a heli.

I read all the comments, and understand that weather conditions in AK don't always cooperate, but last time I checked, there is this thing called a forecast put out by NOAA. Some people use it to determine when the conditions would make it wise to go to AK to get after the goods. Sorry but hitting rails in AK=fail....big fat f*ckin' fail. You're doing it wrong guys....start over and try again. Come back when you have something worthy to offer.
