CI - 15.7 Jeremy Jones
By Pat "the eYe" Bridges

Just because Jeremy isn't the Rider of the Year doesn't mean that he isn't "the man."
With over two-thirds of the votes cast in his favor, Jeremy Jones has emerged at
the top of a small yet highly talented field of professional big mountain riders.
"He is playing with an avalanche in his best part ever in Notice To Appear,"
states Kevin Jones, a rider who himself is no stranger to slough and first
descents. It is in Standard's Notice To Appear, Absinthe's Vivid and the
offerings of his sibling's TGR film company that Jeremy holds it down mixing
straight lined chute descents with multi-tiered slough rides. He even adds a
splash of old school freestyle when warranted and the end result is a technical,
yet balls out big mountain free ride assault that is a hell of a lot heavier than
any jib section or cheese wedge parade. "He is straight up crazy," is how J.P.
Walker describes his high country counterpart. Chris Dufficy also sang Jeremy's
praises with, "He makes me want to ride that stuff or try to!" The bottom line is
the shit that Jeremy is riding on a regular basis is the most dangerous,
technically demanding terrain on earth. It takes skills, patience and serious
mountain awareness to even make it down this terrain, let alone do it in a
fashion that is entertaining. Not only does Jeremy do this but also he keeps
going back for more.
