Scotty Stevens is one of my favorite snowboarders. Sure, we’re supposed to remain objective in our opinions in order to preserve some sort of journalistic integrity, but be assured that bias plays no part in this proclamation—Scotty straight kills it, and it’s damn fun to watch him ride a snowboard. Stevens looks outside the box before he takes it to the box, feeding off creativity and the oddity of our sport while raising the bar and commanding a whole new skill-set to jib junkies who hope to stay one kink ahead of the game. Scotty is currently re-writing the book on board control, with tricks that backfire brain synapses and dilate pupils. For proof of said skills, do yourself a favor and check out Think Thank’s 2008 flick Stack Footy, where Scotty’s ridiculous rewinds may just ruin your rewind button. Just don’t say we didn’t warn you…
