Trick Tip: How to Ollie Nosepick with Ryan Tarbell
Learn how to ollie nosepick on a snowboard with a little help from SNOWBOARDER Magazine Minor Threat Ryan Tarbell.
How to Ollie Nosepick
1. Find a good wall or something that’s good to stall on and that you’re comfortable with. I like something with a good transition up to it.
2. Once you find something you’re comfortable with, approach the feature with a good amount of speed so you can get to the top of it. Focus on where you want to land on the coping.
3. Come up to the transition flat-based so you don’t slip out. Pop off the top of the lip as much as you need to get to the top.
4. Once you ollie off the lip, act like you’re going to do a noseblunt. You want to keep above the coping enough so you have time to grab indy.
5. Land on the coping on your nose, grabbing your board indy with your tail hanging off the back. Hold your board and stall for a second. When you’re ready to pop off, let go of your board and spot your landing. Land flat-based, look where you’re going, and ride away.
