SUPERPARK 11: Proving Grounds went mental today as the skies cleared, the wind died, and the snow softened up, allowing the invited riders the chance to show their stuff, and show they did.

The riders dropped on all the features, killing them one at a time. Without going into too much detail, due to the pending SUPERPARK 11: Proving Grounds issue in volume 20 this year, I will give you little tidbits from the day to keep your mouth watering until it hits newsstands.

-Marc Frank Montoya showing up, checking things out and keeping things really real all the time.

-The Burton crew, consisting of Danny Davis, the brothers Mitrani, Kevin Pearce and Mason Aguirre riding the course and making the jumps look less like a Superpark and more like a progression park.

-Andrew Hardingham going mental on just about everything, capping off the day with a backside rodeo japan, all the while laughing, singing, dancing, and basically, being the most awesome human ever.

-Unsponsored rider (hint hint) Lonnie Kauk didn't fall once all day and he is still riding. Oh yeah, he started lapping at 9am. Seriously, this kid kills jumps.

-Capita’s Dan Brisse destroying the jump line all day, especially the Boreal jump during the end of the day photo shoot.

-Another unsponsored rider, Nate Sheehan stomping backside 10’s over the Bear channel gap.

-Pat Moore riding more features than anyone and showcasing his textbook method on the first jump.

-Chas Guldemond throwing down a backside 7 double poke that would make Terje raise his brows in curiosity.

-Curtis Ciszek’s gigantic backside airs on the Boreal hip.

-Again, Marc Frank was there. I know it’s lame, but he rules.

-Peter Line lapping the park. Enough said.

-Forum rider Daniel Ek’s incident with the basketball hoop on top of the quarterpipe. I’m sure it will be in print, and trust me, it was hilarious.

There is so much more to be mentioned, but I must reiterate that we cannot disclose all of the action, or our Superpark 11 issue will be ruined forever. Stay tuned in to snowboardermag.com for up-to-date words, photos and awesomeness from SUPERPARK 11: Proving Grounds in beautiful Keystone, Colorado.
