Amped 2 - The Ultimate Freestyle Snowboarding Experience

Yesterday, Brenner Adams of Microsoft stopped by the SNOWBOARDER office to give a preview of "Amped 2" and to show us a few of the new features.

In both "Amped" and "Amped 2" a gamer can manipulate what trick or combo they want a rider to do, but unique to "Amped 2" you can now do any maneuver with style. "Riders can combo or spin like crazy, ride smooth and stylish, or master both to find the perfect combination. The gamers decide how to ride to win, instead of following a set of rules ... and that's what freestyle is all about." Adding style to a trick or combo a rider does makes "Amped 2" closer to what snowboarding is really all about.

Another cool feature exclusive to "Amped 2" is the snowskate section, which offers the gamer a chance to test their skills on various features you would actually see in a snowskate park. Snowkating also allows the gamer to do new skate-oriented tricks such as kickflips and shuvits, which are impossible on a snowboard.

With countless new features, new tricks, new levels, new mountains to shred and 14 of your favorite pros to choose from, expect "Amped 2" to be the best snowboarding video game of this year. Look for it in stores in October 2003.
