Snowboard Connection Hosts Burton Gore-Tex Clinic at New Store
The Northwest’s original snowboard shop, Snowboard Connection, hosted a Burton Gore-Tex clinic on Thursday night. It was held at Snowboard Connection’s newest store located at 263 Yale Ave North across the street from REI. WL Gore reps were there to demonstrate why their products are superior to anything else. It was a compelling presentation, and definitely important to Northwest riders who often ride in wet, soggy conditions.
Many other Seattle shops attended Snowboard Connection’s clinic. People like Gorio from EVO, the crew from Feathered Friends, even some staff from REI across the street showed up. It was a good time with food and drinks being served so that Snowboard Connection could dirty up their new store. As Sno Con’s owner John Logic put it, this store is really new and clean, we need to dirty it up a bit, spill some beer, give it some character.
Also on hand was Tom Routh and Susanna Bergstrom from FYI Design Depot. FYI is an integral partner with Burton aiding in design with the Burton AK line of outerwear. FYI Design Depot is located north of Pemberton British Columbia where tons of filming occurs for snowboard videos like White Out Films, Mack Dawg, and many others. Being located in this environment allows FYI to quickly design and create products demanded by top pros like Jussi Oksanen.
