Behind The Boned Age
Winter 2008 is behind us, and upon us, the summer time editing season. While most crews are backing up everything on hard drives, organizing footy, laying out clips, getting shut down on music, and generally stressing out, the motley Grenade crew are setting up shop in their new base of Portland, Oregon and sealing up The Boned Age with a series of skits shot around the city. Danny Kass, Scotty Lago, Lucas Magoon, Kyle Clancy, Benji Ritchie, and Gabe Tayor are rounding out the cast up here, and behind the scenes Silent Greg, Jared Slater, Casillo, Danny’s cat Bloo and Dave Schiff are putting everything they’ve got into it.
The costumes, the car [The Blue Torpedo], Lanie the radical babe—its all present and accounted for. No detail was overlooked and they’re getting radically hellacious. We’re talking full makeup artists, wardrobe, set designers, Hollywood producers, and key grips here, they’re not messing around … well except for all the bad boy sodas and burlacious doobage … besides that they’re not messing around at all. If you’re not knowing, or just a bit slow, The Boned Age is Grenade’s take on the 1994 cult classic film, The Stoned Age.
The Boned Age will be hitting shelves in September, and to go along with that, SNOWBOARDER Mag’ has partnered up with Grenade Films and The Boned Age this year to bring you some insanity for your potato—a series of exclusive web videos with bonus shots and behind the scenes footage from the movie.
