Battle Wounds - SHIN SLIDE3/9 - By Anthony Romano
So, I have been working on rails all winter long. This past weekend I'm at Camelback, hitting backside 50-50's all morning long. It's around noon when I set up for a simple boardslide, but i realize I'm carrying way too much speed. I get about two meters on the rail before I catch my toe edge and slam my shin right on the rail. I thought I broke my damm tibia, but I just ended up with a big lump on my leg. Then a park groomer comes up to me and tells me he did the same thing last winter an he couldnt walk on it for a week. So anyway, I continue riding. Sure enough, I do the same thing again about 10 minutes later. And I still can hardly walk on it. |
