Battle Wounds - A Shattered Collarbone And Cracked Shoulder BladeBy John Bryant
Last Sunday while working at Gunstock, my local mountain, I took my lunch break and decided to take a couple runs down the park. Some guy from Mountain Dew was set up at the big air jump, shooting pics of prospects. Our mountain is very small (www.gunstock.com) and the jump isn’t large enough to provide enough air to land anything over a rodeo 7 smoothly. I nailed a rodeo 7 and wanted to impress the guy more, so I then went for a 9 ... bad idea. I landed about a rodeo 8, but then slammed when my edge caught. I shattered my collarbone pretty bad and I am awaiting surgery in the next two weeks. |
