1»T ?er Bowl gets two feet of new snow the local shop World Boards closes for the day. It's policy. If this tells you anything it is that you should never compromise your powder. It also says a lot for the attitude people have in Bozeman, Montana. This is a cool town with a badass resort just a few minutes up the road. For a couple days the bitterness of winter packed up and left behind a couple days of pure magic. So for your enjoyment here are some highlights of our Bozeman /Bridger Bowl experience.

Minor League Hockey Game: A heated rivalry between the Bozeman Ice Dogs and The Billings Bulls turns into an impromptu SNOWBOARDER Magazine extravaganza. Lucky finds his way to center ice for an invitation to play Greek Olympics with some of the local talent. See Picture. The underdog and home team wins of course, sparking a night of advanced debauchery. I found the quickest way between two points is a straight line, in the air ... down the stairs. Also known as the Bozeman two step-one, two, skip a few.

Promo Day at Bridger Bowl: Unbelievable ridgeline hikes up and down the area directly above the chair lines. The atmosphere at the resort is perfect; laid back friendly employees, comfortable lodge with a new one nearing completion next door, and the cheapest food we have seen anywhere. Hoards of SNOWBOARDER Mag loving people finally receive the props they deserve.

I did see one thing that did concern me. A certain group of children were on ski day up from school running around the RV like they should be, when Mrs. Crabass laid down the firm hand of authority. This lady would not let little Billy have a magazine. Try as he might he was foiled with threats of detention and the dreaded shotgun ride in the school bus next to all the teachers. We attempted to force product on him and we too received a menacing glare of disapproval, once again proving my theory: school sucks.

SNOWBOARDER Magazine's Best of Bozeman/Bridger:
Best Burger: Burger Bobs
Best place to bowl on a Monday

P.S. If are fortunate enough to visit this area you have got to stop by Mike's Off Road for all your 4 wheelin' needs.
