Those long, hot summer months must be getting you down. Well, just know that the staff of SNOWBOARDER Magazine is in your shoes, dripping out the summer in Southern California to make sure that you have something to maintain your sanity in these grueling months until the snow falls. Speaking of El Diablo, why don’t you head on out to your local newsstand and pick up Volume 20 Issue 2 of SNOWBOARDER? Huh? Why the hell don’t you? Here’s what’s in-store for you…..

Ever heard of Jeremy Jones and JP Walker? Sure you have, and if you haven’t, well, then, you need a backhand to your cheek. The two jib giants face-off in this month’s 20 Paces. JP touches on his departure from Forum, while Jeremy informs us that global warming is apparently a myth. Controversial stuff from two of the biggest movers and shakers in the game.

No Man’s Land interviewed Natasza Zurek this month, so read closely as she dishes the dirt on sponsors, video parts and growing up in the butt of all jokes, Poland. Natasza is one of the most well-respected and high-profile women in snowboarding, so girls and guys, listen up to what she has to say.

The Rome team headed to the rock-hard, ice-cold East Coast; Vermont to be exact, for the VT Shred Tour. Marius Otterstad, Marie-France Roy, Max Legend, Jake Sullivan and Will Lavigne were tailed by the ever-infamous “East Coast” Al Engelhart in this saga of sorts. From jibbing the Rome headquarters to whiskey waterfalls with the Norwegian sky pilot at Grandpa Grump’s, this trip will stoke your ‘tude for the ever-closer winter months.

Remember the time you and your friends were at your local hill, hitting jumps, landing all your tricks, steezin the crotch of your pants down to your ankles? Yeah, you thought you were all bad, until some 12-year old ankle-biter rolled up and showed you up. Right? Well, this won’t help. Our Minor Threat this month is with none other than mini-veteran Tyler Flanagan. T. Flan has been a heavy player in this shred game for a chunk of time now, and he’s gonna teach you how to frontside 360. So after you read up and learn your newest trick to show your pals, you can legitimately say you learned it from a 14 year-old. On second thought, you might not want to admit that.

Travel to Norway with the ever-elusive and neon-friendly Ben Fee as he tags along with the one and only true legend of our sport, Terje Haakonsen. In the first interview Terje has done with SNOWBOARDER in over a decade, Terje talks of love, life, family, contests, agents and much much more. Deemed as one of the best features in years to run in SNOWBOARDER, it is certainly a must read, because if you don’t know Terje, you shouldn’t snowboard. A harsh statement, yes. An unjustified statement, no. Believe it.

That’s not all either. With the most engaging and informative editorial and pants-peeing photos of any snowboard publication in the universe, SNOWBOARDER promises to please, so go pick up our September issue (#2) and spend some time catching up on your reading before catching radical hangtime on the slopes this winter, and maybe a cold if you don’t bundle up nice and good. You don’t want that, do you? Hmm? Do you? Didn’t think so.
